How it works

Three steps. None of them are on you.

  1. You call.

Tell us what you've got and where it is. A couch, a garage, a whole floor. It all counts.

A packed garage with boxes, an armchair and a bicycle inside and the door open onto the driveway
  2. We show up today.

You get the price before we lift anything. If it works for you, we start right there.

The truck's steel dump body backed onto a driveway with its tailgate swung open
  3. It's gone.

We load it, sweep up, and leave. You get the space back the same day you called.

A swept, completely empty concrete garage floor with a broom against the wall

What we take

If it's in there, it goes in the truck.

  • Boxes of anything
  • Tires, tools, yard stuff

Clean.

Swept, too.

Same truck. Any job.

Not just couches and desks. If you can point at it, it goes in the back.

Price before we lift

You hear the number standing next to the pile. Nothing changes at the truck.

We do the lifting

You point. Stairs, basements, back yards. Bring a coffee if you want to watch.

Questions we get

Asked on the phone most days. Answered here so you don't have to.

How much does junk removal cost in the Bay Area?

Junk removal is priced by volume, which means how much room your load takes up in the truck, not by the hour and not by the item. Across the Bay Area most household jobs land somewhere between a few boxes and a full truck. You get your number in person, standing next to the pile, before anything is lifted. If it doesn't work for you, we leave and there's nothing to pay.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We come out, look at what you've got, and tell you the price. No call-out fee, no deposit, no charge if you decide not to go ahead. The estimate is the same visit as the job, so saying yes means it's gone that afternoon rather than next week.

Can you really come the same day?

That's the whole business. Call (408) 202-9877 and in most cases we're there the same day, often within a few hours. Call in the morning and the space is usually back by the evening. If the day is already full we'll tell you straight on the phone instead of booking you and not turning up.

Do I have to move anything outside first?

No. Leave it where it is. We do the carrying, including up and down stairs, out of basements, attics, back gardens and carports. Point at what goes and it goes. We sweep the space before we leave.

What do you take?

Furniture, beds and mattresses, appliances, hot tubs, garage and storage clutter, office furniture and old stock, construction debris like framing offcuts, drywall and broken concrete, yard waste, scrap metal, and whole-house and estate cleanouts. Homes, businesses, rentals and job sites. If you can point at it, it goes in the back.

Is there anything you can't take?

Hazardous waste. Paint, solvents, motor oil, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste have to go to a hazardous waste facility, because the transfer stations we use won't accept them. Tell us what you've got when you call and we'll say yes or no before we drive out.

What happens to my junk after you take it?

As little as possible goes to landfill. What can be donated gets donated, what can be recycled gets recycled, and scrap metal is separated out. The rest goes to a licensed transfer station. Furniture in usable condition doesn't need to be thrown away, and we'd rather it wasn't.

Which areas do you cover?

Nine Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. That includes San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Fremont, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Hayward, Palo Alto, Berkeley, Concord, Santa Rosa and everywhere between them. Not sure if you're in it? Call and we'll tell you straight.

Do you work with contractors, landlords and businesses?

Every week. Contractors get us back as many times as the build needs. Landlords and property managers get a unit cleared the day it turns over, so it's ready to show. Businesses can have us come after hours if that's when it works. Landscapers can load us or leave it to us.

How do I book?

Call (408) 202-9877. That's the fastest way and it's usually a job booked in under two minutes. If you'd rather not call, leave your details on the estimate form below and we'll ring you back the same day.
