However much there is, it goes

The garage bay nobody can park in, the attic, the basement, the shed, the whole house. This is what comes out most weeks — it is not a limit. If yours isn't on the list, say what it is on the phone and we'll tell you straight.

How it works

Three steps. None of them are on you.

  1. You call.

Tell us what you've got and where it is. A couch, a garage, a whole floor. It all counts.

A packed garage with boxes, an armchair and a bicycle inside and the door open onto the driveway
  2. We show up today.

You get the price before we lift anything. If it works for you, we start right there.

The truck's steel dump body backed onto a driveway with its tailgate swung open
  3. It's gone.

We load it, sweep up, and leave. You get the space back the same day you called.

A swept, completely empty concrete garage floor with a broom against the wall

Priced by the load, not by the room

A cleanout is priced by volume — how much room your load takes up in the truck. Not by the hour, and not by what is in it.

A quarter load

The corner by the garage door, and the boxes stacked on top of it.

Half a load

A single garage bay, emptied back to the slab.

Three quarters

A double garage, or a garage and everything in its loft.

A full load

A whole house's worth, or a garage and a shed in one visit.

You hear the number standing in the space, before anything is lifted. If it doesn't work for you, we leave and there's nothing to pay.

Included on every cleanout

Four things that are not an upsell on this job.

The lifting

Boxes, shelving, the thing at the back nobody wants to touch. You point, we carry.

A swept slab

The floor is swept before we leave. Not tidied — empty, and ready to park in again.

Told straight

Garage shelves are where the paint tins live, and paint has to go elsewhere. We'll tell you which before we start.

One price, at the kerb

No call-out fee, no deposit, nothing added at the truck. The number you hear is the number you pay.

Cleanout questions

What people ask with the garage door open behind them.

How much does a garage or house cleanout cost?

A cleanout is priced by volume, which means how much room your load takes up in the truck, not by the hour and not by the item. One garage bay is a small load; a whole house is several. You get your number in person, standing in the space, before anything is lifted. If it doesn't work for you, we leave and there's nothing to pay.

How long does a cleanout take?

A single garage is usually one load. Whatever the size, you hear the number before anything is lifted, and you're paying for the load rather than the hours, so there is nothing to gain by it taking longer.

Do I have to empty the shelves first?

No. Shelving units, workbenches and everything stacked on them all travel, and the floor underneath gets swept. Point at what goes and it goes.

Can you take the paint and the chemicals in the garage?

No — that is the one thing we can't carry. Paint, solvents, motor oil, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste have to go to a household hazardous waste facility, because the transfer stations we use won't accept them. Garage shelves are usually where the paint tins live, so tell us what's there when you call and we'll say yes or no before we drive out.

Can you clear the whole house, not just the garage?

Yes. Room by room, and the parts people forget: the attic, the basement, the crawl space, the shed and the yard. Whole-property clear-outs are a normal week for us, and they can be spread over more than one visit if that suits you better.

Do you work with landlords and property managers?

Every week. A unit turns over on a Friday and it's clear by Friday night, so it can be shown the next morning. Landlords and property managers get one number to call and one invoice per property.

What happens to everything you take?

As little as possible goes to landfill. Furniture and goods in usable condition get donated rather than thrown away, what can be recycled gets recycled, and scrap metal is separated out. The rest goes to a licensed transfer station.

Can you really come the same day?

That's the whole business. Call (408) 202-9877 and in most cases we're there the same day, often within a few hours. Call in the morning and the space is usually back by the evening. If the day is already full we'll tell you straight on the phone instead of booking you and not turning up.
