How it works

Three steps. None of them are on you.

  1. You call.

Tell us what you've got and where it is. A couch, a garage, a whole floor. It all counts.

A packed garage with boxes, an armchair and a bicycle inside and the door open onto the driveway
  2. We show up today.

You get the price before we lift anything. If it works for you, we start right there.

  3. It's gone.

We load it, sweep up, and leave. You get the space back the same day you called.

Priced by the load, not by the appliance

Appliance removal is priced by volume — how much room your load takes up in the truck. Not by the hour, and not by how heavy it is.

A quarter load

One fridge, or a washer and a dryer. The single machine you want gone.

Half a load

A kitchen's worth, or a laundry pair plus the water heater.

Three quarters

An apartment's appliances, or a restaurant's old line.

A full load

A whole house, or a floor of commercial kitchen equipment.

You hear the number standing next to the appliance, before anything is lifted. If it doesn't work for you, we leave and there's nothing to pay.

Included with every pickup

Four things that are not an upsell on this job.

The lifting

Steps, basements, tight kitchen doors. You point at the fridge, we carry the fridge.

A swept floor

The space behind it is swept before we leave. Not tidied — empty.

Metal recovered

Appliance bodies are mostly steel. Metal gets separated out, and what still runs gets donated rather than broken up.

One price, at the kerb

No call-out fee, no deposit, nothing added at the truck. The number you hear is the number you pay.

Appliance removal questions

What people ask while standing next to the old fridge.

How much does appliance removal cost in the Bay Area?

Appliance removal is priced by volume, which means how much room your load takes up in the truck, not by the hour and not by the appliance. One fridge is a small load; a whole kitchen is a bigger one. You get your number in person, standing next to the appliance, before anything is lifted. If it doesn't work for you, we leave and there's nothing to pay.

Can you take just one fridge?

Yes. One fridge, one washer, one oven is a normal call, and single appliances are usually the quickest jobs of the day. Tell us what it is and where it is, and we'll tell you straight what taking it away looks like.

Do I have to disconnect it or move it outside first?

No. Leave it where it is and we do the carrying, including up and down steps and out of tight kitchen doors. Where something is still plumbed in or hard-wired, say what it is when you call and we'll tell you straight what needs to happen before we drive out. We sweep the space behind it before we leave.

Can you take an appliance that still works?

Working or dead, both travel on the same truck. If it still runs, say so when you call: a working appliance is the one worth keeping out of the scrap pile, and usable machines get donated rather than broken up.

Can you really come the same day?

That's the whole business. Call (408) 202-9877 and in most cases we're there the same day, often within a few hours. Call in the morning and the old appliance is usually gone by the evening. If the day is already full we'll tell you straight on the phone instead of booking you and not turning up.

What happens to the appliances after you take them?

Appliance bodies are mostly steel, so scrap metal is separated out and recovered. What can be recycled gets recycled, and the rest goes to a licensed transfer station.

Is there anything you can't take?

Hazardous waste is the one thing we can't carry: paint, solvents, motor oil, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste have to go to a hazardous waste facility, because the transfer stations we use won't accept them. Tell us what you've got when you call and we'll say yes or no before we drive out.

Do you take appliances from rentals, offices and commercial kitchens?

Every week. Landlords and property managers get a unit's appliances out the day it turns over, so it's ready to show. Offices and restaurants can have us come after hours if that's when it works, and a full commercial line can go in one visit rather than a week of small trips.
